My Dilemma

And don't we wish we had this dilemma ALL the time? LOL! I won Nalini Singh's contest and got a $75 gift certificate to spend at amazon. My only problem? I have absolutely no idea what to buy. Everything that's been suggested, I've already read. So, I'm crying out for help here. Do any of you have any good suggestions for books to read? Please?

Books I Own and Have Read (an overview 'cuz this would fill up about 30 pages if I wrote every, single one of them down):

JR Ward
Colleen Gleason
Kresley Cole
Nora Roberts/JD Robb
Christine Warren
Lisa Kleypas
Julia Quinn
Patricia Briggs
Nalini Singh
Marjorie M. Liu

As you can see, I've read a lot of the "well-known" current authors. I'm specifically looking for romance or a great fantasy/urban fantasy writer. Help!

Have you read "Laird of the Mist" by Paula Quinn. I hear nothing but RAVING so I have it from the library to read soon. HMMMM Lemme send my friends over here from my Challenge/shelfari group. They always have so many different books and authors for suggestions.

OH yea have you read Anya Bast. Witch Fire is first then Witch Blood is out. Then she will have another coming out in that series not sure when off the top of my head.

Want to try something different?.. Shelly Laurenston's Pack Challenge and the other two from that series, Here, Kitty Kitty and Go Fetch. Hilarious, they are also erotic, paranormal (shape-shifters) and just so original in concept since the main leads, especially the women, are beyond anything I've ever read in romance books. Worth a look since it's a gift!

What a TERRIBLE problem!! Based on your list of favorites, I'd say that you and I have HUGE overlap in reading tastes... have you read Jacqueline Carey? They lean more into epic fantasy than romance or urban fantasy, but so, so good.

Possibly more in line with what you have listed/requested -- have you tried Christine Warren? I adore her Others. Faeries, shifters, weres, witches-- all kinds of fun and yummy love scenes.

For a darker/horror spin, try Anne Bishop's Dark Jewels series.

There ya go. Problem solved. ;-)

Hi, I am another of Jennifer's online buddies from Shelfari. Cindy has raved about Laird of the Mist by Paula Quinn. I will be reading it for our fall challenge. A couple other suggestions:

Shana Abe- The Smoke Thief, The Dream Thief (just finished them).

Lord of Scoundrels was great!
Victoria Alexander's Let it be Love
a recent reread for me... Julie Garwood's Castles.

Please feel free to stop by our group blog: http://readersofromance.blogspot.com/
you will find lots of books that we read through the summer and some that we have just finished to kick off our fall challenge.

Good Luck and Happy Reading!!

Have you read Meljean Brook's Guardian series? It's a must read.
How about Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire series?
I've heard great things about PC Cast and Richelle Mead's YA series.

Good luck!

Try Jennifer Rardin's Jaz Parks series.

Also have you tried a little m/m? Adrien English is just waiting for you.

How about some comtemporary? Sarah Mayberry or Jennifer Cruise or Erin McCarthy?

As for Paranormal Larissa Ione's Pleasure Unbound was awesome and for something a little different try Charlie Huston's Joe Pitt series. Not a huge amount of romance but great books with just enough to keep you going.

Sorry this is so late but I just found your blog. : )

I would suggest C.L. Wilson's Tairen Soul series. Lord of the Fading Lands, Lady of Light and Shadows and King of Sword and Sky which comes out Tuesday. It's an excellent series.

Also Ilona Andrews' Magic Bites and Magic Burns. Wonderful UF series. 3rd book due out in 09.
